jeremy tillman : chief strategist/president
I’ve had a passion for entrepreneurship and marketing since I was a boy. When I was ten years old, I started a business selling ice cream novelties from an antique baby buggy I retrofitted with a freezer. That was the first, but not the last of my childhood businesses (a “portfolio” that included a miniature golf course, a software game company, and an IT consulting practice).
“Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist…Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.” – Emerson.
I have always had a zeal to challenge the prevailing wisdom. I admire the visionaries who have defied convention to create a better world. A friend once labeled me an iconoclast. I have a love of jazz and comedy. Most of all, I have a passion for serving others.
My agency, TILLMAN : branding + marketing, is the manifestation of my life’s work of serving others. I want to help others embrace what make them different, too; to stand out in their marketplace by telling their unique stories and to better serve their stakeholders. I do this with emotion, humor, and truth. And I have built a team of passionate people dedicated to doing the same.
I have been fortunate to serve many prestigious organizations; here are a few of the largest: Qualcomm, Marriott International, American Heart Association, EDS, Tenet, Hilton Hotels, UCLA, and the U.S. Navy. I have a BA from UCLA and an MBA in marketing & entrepreneurship from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. I serve various nonprofit organizations in a variety of functions. I am a board director of the American Leadership Academy and the Coachella Valley Repertory.
